This February marks the 30th Black History Month in Canada, a time when we learn and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of the Black community.
At Kidz Kare we believe it’s important for children to learn about fairness, and respect for everyone. Black History Month helps us talk about how our differences make the world special and how everyone deserves to be treated with love and kindness.
Throughout the month our children will enjoy age-appropriate activities such as, reading stories with diverse characters, Worldly Wednesday meals and learning about important values like caring, helping and standing up for others. Our goal is to help children feel proud of their heritage and to appreciate others while teaching empathy from a young age.
